The Weekenders.

I can't wait till the day N and I finally have weekend free jobs. We hate working weekends and waiting every week for the "which days do I have off next week? Do we have any together? What errands can we do on what day??" gamble. It sucks. And it's just simply a shame, because N and I are pretty good weekenders.

We don't sleep too long. We always make a yummy healthy breakfast with way too much coffee. Waste half the morning talking about the most random things on the kitchen counters drinking our 2nd cups of coffee, in the bathroom, in the shower, when one's done before the other, even while one is brushing their teeth. We are always talking. Then we always do something fun followed by splurging on lunch. Coming back home for an afternoon nap or quickie session of Left for Dead 2 :P Oh yea,..we love to shoot zombies. :)) And then either one of us goes to work or we hang out with friends in the evening.

I'm telling you. Weekdays off are so wasted on us Weekender pro's.

Saturday was the only weekend day we had off together, so we had a simple one day weekend. During which we of course had to go to Noodles & CO :D.

N was making funny faces with his lips :P but check out this awesome camera phone from my new evooo!!! :D I love it soo much!

Mac & Cheese and Parmesan Chicken deliciousness!!!!! :D I didn't eat the rest of the afternoon.

Then my husband takes me next door to stop into Game Stop real quick and we leave with a shiny pearl pink Nintendo DS for me :D :D I was 11 years old all over again :) I LOVE it :P
So we of course went home, lazied in bed, and both played DS :P Here is N blowing into the microphone to win some mini game while playing Ratatoullie :P

Then my amazing mommy bought me these beautiful, flawless, so amazingly comfortable, vintage looking wedges! I should go back and get a second pair, because I will wear these every day until they fall off my feet.

And then I received another gift during this weekend of gifting. This stunning (!) bath cap from my beloved Bev!! :D Thank you!!!!

Testing. Testing.

I am performing a little test run posting a blog post from my phone. My awesome mamacita splurged on my birthday gift 4 months early yesterday and bought me a new phone! I'm now happy to admit that I'm an obsessed evo owner! Loooove it!

This is me stealing my sisters happy face to show you how excited I am!

Spitten' Image of You

Hi kids,

I'm so going to regret this in the morning, but tonight when I finally hit my couch with laptop in lap and blanky, mr.ray yellin at the Nuggets game next to me, I felt like I finally woke up. Since Monday morning started! I've gotten so used to loving and filling my weekends with lovely things and great adventures, that I recover Monday - Thursday...and wake up again on Friday! So, as cool as tonight has been, not passing out 30 minutes after watching TV or watching sports with the boys (that could by my problem ;P ) and having even the energy to sit up and blog with you guys at night.

Night posts are the best, duh.

So..I have to admit that I've been very committed to my new tumblr. over there, uploading my outfits I like to call stylish for you to judge and pick apart, but I'm sort of loving it. I include fun accessories, details, and of course, hairdoooos in my posts - don't worry, you can still get your HairToo(s)day fix here every Tuesday coming back next week (!!) - so if you enjoy sillythings such as that then I'd recommend you pay me a little visit in my little closet.

Second, (yes, we covered first somewhere up there) I got stuck in traffic today and got picture happy - I know, so terrible at the wheel! I swear I'm a safe driver! Only when I'm at a standstill...and got this great shot of me looking exactly like my mom when she was my age...or..however that would go, but I love it so I had to share with you, only because it's almost like I kinda lost my babyface...a little? and I look just like my mom. This is pretty spectacular for me. I've looked the same since I was 3 years old. Seriously.

Told you. :)

But..here is the actual photo that I wanted to share with you tonight. The one where I look exactly like my mother? Ya. Focus here kids :) Alright, here it is.

crazy huh :) (for those of you that know what my mother looked like at that age or even now :) crazy huh! :) )
Happy Friday.

Vintage Decal.

So..if any of you have peaked on over to my little tumblr. lately you know I love to take pictures of my outfits but don't like to make my blog too "fashion amateur" heavy :P because sometimes I can wear some really weird things and I'm no where near as good as other great vintage inspired, unique styles, and accessorizing blogs out there!

But..just because I couldn't get over how adorable this outfit was, I have to share it with you! No..it's not me. :) that sounded pretty selfish :P But this weekend at my cousin's wedding, his sister - also my cousin :) - showed up in the cutest vintage inspired outfit, I didn't have a choice but to corner her, snap a couple quick shots, and share it with you!

So my beautiful red headed cousin tells me that she had nothing to wear to her brother's wedding and called up her dear friend, who turned around found her this adorable, chic and vintage dress from a garage sale. A little TLC and she pulls off this adorable number.

I was literally drooooooling over these shoes. I was staring at them, aaall night!

It had the cutest little gold broche in the front, and the ruffle is so flattering and feminine.

My favorite was without a doubt, the black flower detail delicately placed all over the dress.

Weekends Are For Relaxing, Right?

I could seriously get used to this my friends. Although, I have to say off the bat that having weekends off is kind of a sneaky thing if you ask me. We came back from celebrating the wedding around noon today only to make a quick stop at home to freshen up and head over to meet my family to celebrate my little brother's 13th birthday! We tried to nap when we got home, but with my cough I can't shake from last week, only mr.ray got about 30 minutes of shut eye. Then I'm sitting here tonight after N had gone off to work, feeling guilty that I hadn't unpacked my bag, started laundry, or even played with the thought of cleaning anything (like the bathroom!) when I realized that weekends are tiring!! I have been going non stop since last Monday! And the shitty thing is, that tomorrow is already Monday again and I'm even more exhausted than I was on Friday!

Alright..let me get off my rantbox for a second - I don't want you to start thinking that I didn't have a good time this weekend. I'm just trying to convince myself of my excuse for sitting on the couch for 4 entire hours tonight, not moving unless to get more yogurt, water, and my sister's DS that I still haven't returned (!) and not. doing. anything. It was so fantastic. :) Now, you have to understand that there's something very weird about me and that is that I like to organize the weeeeirdest shit sometimes; including this weekends adventures. **Warning** This post is a bit photo heavy. But I don't care. :)

The Wedding
my favorite part about having in.laws...

these. three. freaks.

♥ the Longo Family ♥

showin' off our pearly whites

the conga line for an entry dance: amazing!

The Italianshkabobs as boutonniere (<-- that's right, I Googled it.) for Vincent.

My favorite pic of the weekend.

cupcake nerds.

the new and improved DellaRossa/Longo cousins. Where's Dewie?? Megan, we're gonna need another picture!!! :D (sorry, I couldn't resist but ye haad to be there!)

how stunning is this blonde? I ♥ her

LoveBirds
Literally 5 minutes before the cake cutting Megan asks us in passing "Should I shove it in his face?" ""hell yea"" Julie & I reply in unison.

Then I realized she was my new favorite cousin in law.

How freaking adorable, are they?

sweet girl ♥

uh oh.

Show us what you got, Dane!

♥

sweet love.

Cutest all asymmetrical dress (the dress even gathered off center on her back) I have ever seen which looked stunning on her.

The Aftermath
most amazing continental breakfast, ever. I got my hungover butt out of bed so quickly for this. The best bagel I've had in a really long time, completed with Philadelphia creme cheese and Pure Honey, black coffee & creamer, a hard boiled egg, and a small bowl of crunchy flakes with skim milk for cereal. It. Was. Delicious. :)

There's Dewie! The coolest 17 year old boy with the cutest hair.

Julie, basking in the amazingness of her breakfast. :) Oh ya. She was just as excited.

We wouldn't be complete without our White Chocolate Mocchas. Extra hot ;)

At the Starbucks in Woodland, Colorado the baristas, instead of drawing their names, drew adorable cartoon figures of themselves accurate with hair color, length, and style.

My baby brother the Teen.
These 13 year olds. Like feed like animals.

And are soooo interesting.

Where did you make room for that giant hot brownie and healthy slab of vanilla ice cream, AFTER you just devoured bbq wings, ribs, aaaand fries??? Oh yea..during that casual soccer session with your boi hector across the field, after you'd already played and won two soccer games earlier that day!!

I love you and your cheesy smile when you still pose for a picture with me instead of giving me an annoyed look :)

food coma.

I know. It was an amazing weekend. I have one more specialty from this weekend coming to you tomorrow night :) Check out my favorite outfit of the weekend that I loved so much I had to capture it and post about it here to you (grab yourself a sneak peak on my brandspankin' new tumblr) For now, goodnight, goodnight my lovely kids :) I'm actually falling asleep as I'm ttyping.

Extra Corn, Please.

We all have our favss. That restaurant that you crave 50% of the week, and indulge every once in awhile, every other day, or possibly, if you're really bad..maybe even every day! Either way you'd be crazy not to crave this little place of heaven at least once a week! And don't even come to me with "ooh Qdoba is so much better!!" Because I'd say "ERRONEOUS! On both counts. The only thing Qdoba does do pretty well is their Chicken&Queso breakfast burrito. But the other 99% of the time, Chipotle remains my favorite place to eat in the whole wide world. I could most likely eat there every single day. And yes, most likely, I get the same thing..every. time. And so, because I think I'm just oh so freaking smart and cool and seem to love to take photo camera pictures of anything and literally, everything lately! (You should see this stuff I snap a picture of thinking "I'll post it on my blog!" get home and think "the hell am I thinking I'm not gonna post this on my blog!")

I included a linky at the bottom of the post if you'd like to grab this fancy button, repost on your blog and linky up back here :) And I know, you're welcome..I'm craving it too now!!

My Food
- Three soft flour tacos
- Black Beans
- Chicken (sometimes I'll get two chicken one steak :))
- Pico - those yummy juicy tomatoes :)
- Corn (only a little that shit is spicy!)
- Sour Cream
- little cheese :))

My Drink
- always a student drink - duh :) What's the advantage of having a baby face? People have no trouble believing you're straight from campus.
- Half cup ice
- the tea they always have there.
- One slice of lemon squeezed out and left in the drink
- One thing of Sweet & Low :)
- stir and sip!!!!

voila. I'm now droooooling all over the keyboard and have a serious craving for something yummy. Adios. I'm finding me some food.

I Could Get Used to This

Apparently, my boss likes to give me weekends off. That's just a statement, definitely no complaining here! But I'm starting to get used to it, and that's just not fair. Because you know the second I wrap myself around the fact that Saturdays could potentially be included as one of my weekly days off, you know he's going to change his mind and I'll get a Monday/Tuesday weekend again. Really? What the hell is there to do on a Monday/Tuesday?   Nevertheless, this is now the third Saturday I've had off and shhhhhhh....don't tell anyone, but I looked on yesterday's schedule and have THAT Saturday off, too!! :D:D I'm simply becoming the queen of weekends, ova here!

Because on weekends there's lots to do! Like go to the mountains :) spend the day with your husband :) *or* go to a wedding!!! Like today! Now, if 1) I could trade in this manly horse voice for my old one that'd be splendid, 2) I could wake up in the morning without having to spend the first 10 minutes blowing, coughing, and gagging on this lovely cold I might feel even more attractive and less gross and 3) that Ibuprofen I took over an hr ago would kick in, I could start this fabfabfabulous weekend! Maybe some java will do the trick :)

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I'll see you on the flip side, Denver.

What Are Friends For?

Quite a bit if you ask me. They laugh with you and cry with you. Gossip and share stories with you. Be there for you when you need em and suggest to go out to sushi and drinks when you were needing it the most. But one of the best and funnest things about your girlfriend, is the fact that you can share clothes. :)

My friend J has the best style - always so J.Crew hippie chic mixed with vintage class a trip to her closet would be an entire year's worth of amazing blog posts :)) And because she's such an amazing friend she let me borrow a couple of her dresses from her exquisite collection for N's cousin's wedding this Saturday. A couple of days ago I decided on one of the two for the wedding and can't wait to post about it come Sunday. But I was sort of dieing to somehow wear both! So today, thinking of my dear friend J while seeing it hanging beautifully on the wall "spotlight" wall of my closet, I decided I'd accessorize it cute and wear it to work with a pair of flats!

Thank you J for your impeccable style and for letting me borrow these dresses!

Excuse the weird lazy hair style. I'm in that awkward "growing out" phase and I just let it go after showering today.

Outfitted with my grey rose patterned tights,
brass silver waist belt with bow to add extra girliness,

cream cardigan, and three favorite wrist accessories: thick pearl bangle, grey and gold charcoal leather bracelet, and MK copy gold watch (I'm saving for a real one, ok?),

and because this 70 degree Colorado weather is too warm for a jacket, my favorite thick scarf to keep my neck outdoors warm (I still have no voice from being sick - the raspy old man voice is definitely, sexaaay).

Thank you J. Happy Thursday!
