Afternoon delight.

One comforting thought to my very pesky procrastination habit, is the comforting thought that most of my followers live in a time zone that puts them 2-3 hours behind me. So while I feel like a slacker not sitting down with my notebook until 6pm, all is well, because for you kids, it's only 3 or 4 pm! So let's hop to it shall we?

Apparently I don't have to feel so bad about missing Tuesday's hair day because I got some pretty positive comments from you about sharing my sexiness with you all :) Missed the post? Check it out here. Which, I love that you are loving one of my posts so much! That's definitely the most famous post I've shared with you so far - I need to make fun of myself more often! But really, I am sorry I promise to whip up something fabulous for next week. This week has just been a little .. odd. Not particularly bad but also definitely nothing good to report. Just..meh. Since Wednesday I've had to get up before 4am to get to my unusual opening shift at the store starting at 5am - not that unusual..just trying to get ahead of ourselves on holiday shipment and get ready for the most horrendous day in retail - ;) But even though I've been home by 3pm every day to enjoy my free afternoons, yesterday I only made it to 4:45pm before I passed out into a serious nap and today I am draaaaaaaagging! I even put on a pot of coffee not to long ago.

Oh don't worry. It's not too late for that. It's not helping one little bit. I'm still yawning continually, (like just now) and dabbing my constantly watering eyes (my eyes water like crazy when I yawn..people always ask me if I'm crying) and don't worry, I'm perfectly aware of the fact that this post is completely nonsensical .. and boring :D

My ... Weekend

apparently, this girl was almost an overachiever had she not posted so many posts last weekend that she skipped right over this one. N and I had a lovely Saturday - for once!!!! - and I wanted to share it with you. 

I was looking through my edited and drafted posts and found this little guy all ready to be published. And since my weekend was absolutely and truly uneventful, let me take you back a week to my last Saturday and hope your weekend was fantastical. 

Saturday I only worked until 4pm - and I ain't gonna lie I hightailed the hell outta there! It was a mad house!! I don't know how I'm going to make it through Holiday with my sanity in tact. 

This is the street we live on. Or the shop is on I should say. Backs right up to a little residential area and these adorable houses.

With my husbands approval, mind you (!) ((because that's a first)) I snagged this adorable, love at first sight Love 21 plaid poncho with pockets at work. 

I haven't taken it off since. 

Movie Pre-Weekend

I have no problem admitting to you guys that in the past 36 hours I have done the following. Rented and watched 3 movies, 4 tv shows, napped 3 times, slept 11 hours Thursday night and didn't leave the house except to walk the dog (yes, outside!!) return my movie and get lunch. (yes. alright, it was, McDonald's.)

It's been fantastical, relaxing, and incredibly and utterly boring. How could anyone every survive a bed rest?? At least without major drugs..I was bedwritten for almost 6 days after my foot surgery in October a year ago. I would get so frustrated and annoyed with having to stay in one room or bed for a longer period of time because it was a bitch to move me and all my shit constantly, I still feel bad for how whiney I was to N and Billy :P But most likely the only reason I survived those days was because of all my lovely meds from the surgery.

I definitely don't regret doing absolutely nothing for quite a few hours. I relaxed, skyped, and blogged all I've wanted. I went on a beautiful walk with my dog, made my own coffee, and ate an entire bar of chocolate.

Although I thought I could fit in at least 2 more movies tonight, I'm hopeful that tomorrow is only Saturday and I still have my Sunday off to add to my list. Which as of now has the following members.. The Last Station, Alice in Wonderland, Love Actually, Spongebob Squarepants, King of the Hill, South Park, Weeds ..hang around throughout the weekend to catch a little recap of these and see if N and Billy can add to it.

Smog. Fog. I Still Can't See

Hola

It's been super foggy here only since this morning, but it's hung around all day lingering and stayed pretty thick that it feels like it's been like this for weeks. I'm still not going to whine if it's like this on Friday, because a quiet day in bed with the blinds open in my robe and movies might be the most fantastic thing in awhile, but on my way home it was so hard to see I almost missed my turn off.
(Yesss I'm aware of the fact that I'm a horrible run-on-sentence-whore)
Yet, I was stumped by this lovely state called Michigan once again. I'm walking out of work, and maybe this isn't even a Michigan thing and it's more of a Jessica's-thedumbass-that-was-raised-in-Europe-and-doesn't-know-these-things things, but it is clearly foggy again as my team and I exit the building and my head cashier says "Uuuuuhhhh - oooohhhh!!? I thought it was smoggy but it's actually just foggy!"
A big fat W.T.F. walked over and claimed front row on my forehead. 

What on earth is smog? Of course I'm not going to ask N! Like he needs another thing to laugh at me for, because I wasn't born in the land of the free!! So, could someone please, quietly explain in a sweet little comment what the difference is!? Because when it's 10:13pm and pitch black outside ye can't see a damn thing whether it's smog or fog. thank you


Either way tomorrow is sorta my Friday and I'm off by 2 and schnuggled into my bed complete with robe, movies, and a doggie at the foot of the bed just sleeeeeeeeeping. :) Don't judge me - I'm in no way denial that I'm a lazy ass. Don't worry. New year's resolutions are right around the corner!

Before I go I have LOVED logging into my dashboard this week because in the last 3 days I have gathered 5 new followers!! :D
