THE Alice??

After my dilema of ordering two tickets to opening day of Alice in Wonderland for Nick and I on Fandango.com, and then realizing that I had to work that day, we finally had the chance to go see it yesterday! We were able to just exchange our tickets for a different showing..so there we were, early and with great seats to our 7:15pm showing. We were so early we had to sit through all the boring pre-preview stuff..but as it started getting closer to the movie time, we were more than glad we came so early: the theatre was PACKED!!! And I mean groups of people still coming in 15 minutes after the movie had started!! I'm not kidding when I say that it was like seeing a midnight showing of Harry Potter!! It was INSANE!

However..we didn't worry..because we had perfect seats :) So to the movie. 1) I want every single dress Alice wears in that movie!!!! Plus that girl is gorgeous!!
I tried to find some pictures of the cool dresses she wears..but you'll just have to go see it yourself. 2) The movie itself was phenomenal!! A very dark twist on our adored Alice. I forgot how much I loved the Disney version and I kept catching myself saying "in the kid story this happens". It obviously takes on a little different story line, but it's still great. 3) Johnny Depp. :) Oh Johnny. To keep it simple, there isn't a role he cannot play. He personifies every single character perfectly and The Mad Hater is no exception. 4) Helena Bonham Carter is such a great and surprisingly fersatile actress. I always thought she has such strong features and look that she always looks the same, but she always blows me away in every movie.

In conclusion.. Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland is a MUST SEE!! Especially in 3D. Speaking of 3D..Nick and I almost jumped out of our chairs when they showed a preview of TOY STORY 3!!!! It looks soo good :) And it's just such a classic - I can't wait to see it :D

And..because I'm staying true to my slogan of "honest words" I have to admit that I also cannot wait to see M. Night Shyamalan's new movie The Last Airbender!! :D My little brother Tyler and I used to watch it when it was still a cartoon on Cartoon Network ALL the TIME! :P And the movie looks really good. I just like differnent action and special effects..I can't deny that I was freaking out a little when the preview was running :)
