trains & large backpacks.

One of my favorite ways to kill time, is to run random errands with N. And a few days ago, it was time for exactly that. N's car has been in and out of the shop which very conveniently requires two people to get a car there and back...and so we found ourselves walking around and exploring Jax, at 8:24am, killing time while the car was getting worked on some more.
Jax even has its own train. Super neato.

Then N found just the right sized backpack for himself.

Thank you for an entertaining window shopping morning, Jax :P

I hope you are all enjoying a marvelous weekend! It was nice to get a chance to spend the morning with a familiar old, coffee + blog combo. :) It's so nice outside..the perfect running weather that I can't resist before I head to work for the afternoon/evening.

p.s. - if you haven't discovered Greek yogurt, do it now. I could eat this Vanilla Honey by The Greek Gods Eros Greek Yogurt by the tub. yum!

Happy Saturday!

Friday Blanks.

Haaappy Friday, Folks! Go see Lauren to link up if you'd like to play :-)

1.  My bedtime routine includes,   late night television, washing up for bed, and then depending on how slow my husband is with his routines that evening I will read, blog, or tweetbeforebedtime :)   .

2.   I am    so tired from being sick yesterday and seeing Avengersss at midnight - but it's okay, it was soo worth it (Clearly, I am very proud of my nerdiness)   .

3.  I can't stand     when people N eats bananas and then squeeze them through their teeth       because     its nasty!.

4. My idea of relaxation would be   a quiet campsite by water for N, Oli, and myself .

5. If I had an extra $50, I would    {go buy something pretty for myself...something I really don't need like a new throw pillow or something}  <-- I'm keeping Lauren's blanks, because I only spent an extra $12 the other day for a lampshade I'd been eyeing at work and it made my whole week (yes, of course there'll be a blog about it in the near future) .

6. The best thing about a bloggy friend is    a lot of times they know and understand sides of you that no other friend does. It's a friendship that can only be appreciated and understand by bloggers and that's what makes it special :)

7.  A recipe I've been dying to try is  this amazing Nutella + French toast combo, since it stole my sweet*tooth that cold Valentine's day in February! mhhh..I think I might have found myself a little project while N is away this weekend :))

Have a great weekend everyone! Think of me as it's my closing weekend. Oooodalelli!

let's take a walk.

Happy May 1st lovelies. While I'm still trying to wrap my head around how it could possibly be May, let alone my birthday in a little over a month. There's one big giant countdown to a quarter century birthday around the corner, and I'm not quite sure how I feel about that, just yet, soo we're going to move on from that kind of talk for now :)

One of the things N and I love to do most together is go on walks with our (this year) 6 year old Golden Retriever, Oliver. We were so excited to discover that we have a sweet set of trails just a few steps behind our place. Although Oli will chase after the occasional squirrel when he thinks we aren't looking, he loves to explore the trails off his leash. He does pretty good - yet I'm still a cranky German when it comes to people who let their psycho dogs run around without supervision. Ruude! :)

Most days our walks aren't very long, but every once in awhile we'll decide we want to take the long day if the weather and sunshine are extra sweet ♥ In order to really understand why we love these walks so much, I'd have to tell you that it's my favorite time of day with N. Because I will never get tired of the way he drapes his arms lazily over my shoulder like we're middle school boyfriend & girlfriend.
I'd have to tell you that those walks are what get me through life's stress & strain, and keep me grounded and focused on the things I want :) and even better, what my husband and I want.
I'd have to tell you, that it's the best dose of Vitamin D you can have.
But..then I would seriously bore you to death and I wouldn't really blame you - so to be sure to avoid it I'm just going to show you these from one of those favorite sunshine walks of ours.

The doctor called. Sunshine walks are highly recommended.

Just keeping you informed.
