The weekend was good to me so I have high expectations for this week. I feel a little re energized motivated for the summer to get here (be here!). I sat myself down last night and scribbled dates, times, and agendas in my planner that made the procrastinator in me feel very intimidated :) No way I'm missing any chores, errands, and events when I'm this thorough. Now if I can just get a hang of this keeping in touch thing a bit better. That's my next plan of action. It's going on my agenda!

For now, keep Monday spunky people. With nails like this, for example. Don't listen to the person that mocks you "oooh how cute..it looks like you have band aids on your fingers!!" .... screw off lady it's cute. didn't you get the memo?

Fill in the Blank Friday

1.  When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is, <-- I'm really embarrassed to admit this, but usually I'm hitting snooze for the third time..and by then my phone is already in my head and so to keep me from falling back asleep I'll force myself to check it for notifications. I usually always check my twitter. And for a person that really hates Facebook...I'm the jerk who checks their twitter first thing when they wake up. Don't worry, I'm putting myself in the corner of shame. 

2.   I can hardly wait for summertime to be here and spend the weekends camping Northern Colorado with N and Oliver, and to fish, and to hike, and to have campfires... :] cannot wait!

3.  The quickest way to my heart is   someone that makes me laugh     because    I am happiest when I am laughing. 

4. A little known fact about me is that    I used to have a really cool beauty mark/mole on the left side of my cheek that has almost completely disappeared with age. 

5. The best part about my job is  the people. 

6. Something I just couldn't live without is    a camera. 

7.  Something useful that I wish I knew how to do is   golf. :] I know, it's no where close to really being useful, and if I do learn this year, I acknowledge the fact that it will take me to a whole nother nerd level, but screw you guyss. :) I'm doing it anyway. 

Haaaaaaappy Friday!

Last night was not a very fun day at work. Plus my allergies decided to drop by today and my sore went directly to painful and I had a migraine all night at work. I know.. *waaeh*waaeh* .. but guess what that means :)

I got to let the benadryl do its work in hopes that I would sleep like a baby. Let's see how the day goes!

nothing exciting Thursday morning.

Sometimes closing shifts come in very handy when you need a morning to catch up. I have felt so non stop this month that I don't feel up to much once I'm home from work. Especially this week, I was a very bad repeat offender of blowing off the gym 3 times. This morning N poked and pried me while he was up and getting ready early to teach a science class, to get my butt out of bed and let him drop me off at the gym.
How can you be mad at that?
Regardless, I still rolled out of bed totally grumpy and whined all the way through getting dressed. Even in the car. (I'm a whole lotta fun sometimes.) But once I got in and saw the track was completely empty .. it felt soo good to lose myself in my run for a half hour.

I knew you'd have a hard time believing I actually got my butt up, so I had to have proof ;)

After the gym, I hopped on my bike and cruised home. 

Seriously, what the hell? Who would drive this :)

It was so warm on my walk home, for a split second it made me miss college seeing every one walking to class a little happier than during the dreary winter semester days. But then again - screw school :) I'll enjoy the beautiful summer weather without it! I can't believe tomorrow is already Friday let alone next week May! 

This weekend we'll be back in Broomfield for the last time this month, seeing family hopefully friends, and moving some final belongings up to Fort Collins. Fun stuff! :)

Sunny Snapshots

Good Morning! very early morning on this wonderful hump day. Today will most likely be our last -hot- day before the weekend rolls in with rain and thunderstorm. Not that there's anything bad to say about leaving your screen door open to let in the smell of rain and sound of thunder :) Nevertheless, they still scare the crap out of me and being alone during one is not so great.

Although I'm over it now...sorta :) ... I was expecting to have today off and had it planned full with errands, chores at home, and taking care of some serious blogging business. But then as I went to tuck myself into bed last night a little after midnight, I got a little surprise message saying I was working today. Crap!!
Try going to sleep after that frustration kicks in. not fun :/

BUT..worst things have happened and I'm sure I'll survive :) and so to get myself through the rest of the week and to celebrate today's beautiful Colorado weather...I'll share these with you.

Quarter Candles Part 1

If all my weekends could be this fun, with all of my friends and family filled with it all the time..life would be very very sweet. But on the flip side, their rarity make such weekends that much more enjoyable. I know I've tweeted enough about "thanks friends & family..." in the last 36 hours so sorry for the repetition, faithful followers. But really, :) > thank you <

In 4 days, the last of my 4weekendsoffinApril will already be here and the week is cruising along without a break  n = school, me = work, oli = busy chasing lights at home. But to complain, I cannot... :)
I do get Wednesday off again, after which I might have some closet organizational how to's or fails..however the day goes..to share with you over here. Exciting stuff!

Although the post-birthday-bbq-after-party downtown with our dearest friends, produced a meager but decent 8 phone camera snapshots for which you'll have to stay tuned for Quarter Candles Part 2 - the unrated edition which will post here in a day or so :)

For now, let me give it a rest for the night and go interrupt N and his video game. :] hihi and leave you with these weekend favorites of mine. I found a new photo editor via good ol' google today. hollaaaaa!

birthdays and ooh babies!

I have to throw a giant serious disclaimer up in here, for you will find some honest, from the heart, fashionobsession a few lines down...sooo don't judge me. i warned you. <-- 

Tuesday was errands day. And blogging about it now feels like a week ago although it's not that I am complaining of lack of days off - if anything it's the complete opposite. I have been one lucky girl having every weekend off this month, something I have never had and I am loving it. This weekend finally brings some friendspartycelebration time for N's big 25th birthdaay this coming Saturday. But that's neither here nor there, point was that because my weekends have been so great and fun filled, my weeks feel so short and time just keeps wizzing by and I have noo idea how it's already mid April. wtf! Soo back to errands day --> Tuesday =  yesterday! Everyone all caught up?...started as an ordinary day. 

N did his morning obligation of getting up first and making the coffee - just right - followed by me upholding my end of making breakfast. if and when he can get me to get up out of bed of course. in my defense - me "getting my butt out of bed" is still usually always by 8:15. i think that's pretty good for a day off. The mr did have afternoon class so we parted ways midday .. I of course made a stop at plato's and couldn't resist a peak into tj maxx. 

the purses in the entrance are usually my weakness .. but past couple trips I've done pretty good. i've come to realize i'm a picky bitch when it comes to my purse. I used to just buy them for looks but hated it if they were "impractical" or inconvenient to wear, too small, too big, etc. and so in my last year of serious budget cutting in the financial dept I had plenty of time to create the perfect wishlist for my next baby. again, in my defense, you have to understand - I usually loathe all types of "baby" name calling, however when it comes to my purse(s)...they are my babies :P 

through the doors and two aisles into the handbag section, my eyes caught sight of it. the purse that fit all of my wishlist criteria. among cross shoulder, zipper detail, easy access, it's even decorated with gromets and tassles. love at first absolutely exists in fashion (and in life but please, not another tangent for this girl) and 

this purse + me = puppy loveee. 

I said this was an honest post so I can't leave out the fact that I always squeezed a tear when the price tag was well within my budget. double birthdays here this week, because this was all I wanted for my 25th. it was a day of treats for sure and the search well worth it.

my friend the turtle.

While on one of our walks the other day, N and I discovered a little wild turtle sunbathing on a long branch sticking out of the water. We were walking by a lake behind our apartments and I thought it was the coolest thing - I have never seen a wild turtle :P don't worry - N thought I was a total weirdo.

I had left my cell at home so I snatched his right away and started marching towards the little guy to get a good shot of him, not thinking to shut my mouth..blabbing about how cute he was..the next thing I knew he slipped off the branch and had swam under water. I was so bummed and wanted to kick myself.

But then I spotted him swimming in once place and snapped a couple decent shots of him. I thought he was adorable.

I drew him a little fat friend. 

Wishing you a sunny Tuesday. I have yet to take a day to do something new and cute with my hippie hair. It's a lot of wash and air dry lately, but I know I'm just being way too lazy. So yes, I'm distracting you with cuteness here. I remain open for requests, ladies.

birthday weekend - take one.

It has been a pretty fantastic Sunday not to mention yet another great weekend! That's two for April! All in all it has been a perfectly lazy fundaySunday, we got back home late this afternoon, took care of some cleaning and retired very lazily to our ghetto couch for the remainder of the day.
As a little disclaimer, it was a snapshot images kind of a weekend. I forgot my good camera, everywhere we went. That'll teach me to pack it neatly in the trunk of my car.

Nevertheless, Friday started off pretty ridiculously..(is that proper English?) with a 9 hour work training in Denver which served up a very enjoyable total of 4 hours rush hour traffic. For the tweeps among you, you will know this, however this pizza is just too deliciouslooking ( <-- now that's some proper English) not to share twice. N insisted we treat ourselves to Uncle's Pizza, the absolute best pizza in Fort Collins and most likely all of Colorado actually, and that's exactly what we did. YUM! 

I wore my favorite long sleeved light pink blouse, since the weather was a bit crummy with rain and wind, and finally got to wear my electric blue pants! I was very much in love with them.  

This was my friend about 2 hours into the surprise party for mysisterinlawsboyfriendsbirthday Trey..thank you mama-in-law for mixing me this incredible Bloody Mary :) again..too good not to share. 

The only other picture I managed to snap all afternoon and night. After family, friends, and Mary's we split up and N and I went back to his parents' where we of course enjoyed too much wine and a delicious pasta dinner my mama just happened to whip up. 

I loove being married into an Italian family :))

1.  Today is a good day because   I'm playing blanks for the first time in aages! And at 5pm I will be saying hellooooo weekend of fun #2 this month. As I like to say...hollaaaaa! :) 

2.   The best thing I did all week was   having a mother daughter day my mamacita on Monday :) it was perfect ♥ 

3.  The current weather is     Colorado sunshine       and it makes me feel     like Little Ms Sunshine.

4. The best thing about spring is    the way weather, nature, and sunshine can make you feel literally hugged and awakened from the inside. Goodbye winter bluuues. 

5. A fashion trend that I'm dying to try out for spring is  colored pants!! Which I will be doing this very coming Saturday - can't wait for my electric blue skinnies! 

6. A person who made me smile this week was   my team members at work :) it feels great to start to have real connections with people I see everyday again and to slowly not feel like the new girl anymore. Great time ZooeyD for coming up with your little "its Jess" jingle..my team has been making it my theme song for weeks! 

7.  The most delicious thing I ate all week was   Uncle Tony's Easter Sunday haaaam. mmhhh..now I'm drooling.

I'm starting you off with a little disclaimer tonight, because over the last few months I have built up some serious writer's block and am here to tell you that I am having the hardest time breaking through it. So if my posts are a little out of whack here and there...just bare with me :) it's all good. I'll find my groove. I have no doubt fun things to share with you. Apparently I'm just a little rusty. 

N and I killed away the afternoon playing couch potatoes after full days of work + school for us. I am so looking forward to the weekend and every single weekend to come in April, because I have them all off which hasn't happened since.. my wedding and it's going to be (and has been already!) filled with family times, birthdays, Denver adventures, and a big fat shopping trip to H&M this coming Saturday. April, you're gonna be a good one. 

And since this week I'm keeping busy with catching up on my cleaning, sunshine walks, work, and exercise time..I decided that I'm going to just catch you up on a few things this evening. you're bursting with excitement, I know. 

Here are my few things:

#1. N and I moved {back} to Fort Collins - we are loving it here and haven't had things go this smoothly for us in a while. It's a nice change, to say the least. 

#2. While N went back to finish school, I have taken a next step in my retail/management career - one that definitely has positively surprised the crap out of me. Happy happy me! 

#3. I managed to lose 15lbs. I don't really like to share those things but I'm really proud of it so there. I'm now working on whipping my butt into shape a little bit for my 25th birthday this year. ... <-- that last bit there might qualify as #4. 

#5. My new playlist is repeat playing Mumford & Sons, Foster the People + The Black Keys. 

#6. I don't think my Pinterest will last through the month...I just can't get that..interested ;) - but seriously, Lauren couldn't have said it better today. It's a cool site, but it stresses me out! In truth, I will never do anything with all those pictures, recipes, diy's..and I don't spend all my time browsing the web to find them to even pin them in the first place. Buh - bye Pinterest account. 

#7. The last book I really read was a rerun through the Hunger Games' Trilogy which threw me on such a weird emotional roller coaster I wasted away about 4 library books. None of which I really remember. (And yes, I'm totally fishing for recommendations.)

#8. I have developed a full blown addiction to The Walking Dead. It's bad. Fall can't come soon enough. Well, maybe. ;)

I think those are enough things for tonight. I'm happy, life's good, no I'm not having babies and my hate for Facebook gets worse each day :P

Mein Oster Sonntag.

It is now 9:30pm and I am still feeling completely sun soaked after today's beautiful Easter Sunday weather!! Therefore, since it is still Sunday... happy easter  friends !!! It was pretty ridiculous how beautiful, lazy, and fun this day was and now I'm home plopped on the couch while N is studying. Tomorrow, which marks my 3rd day weekend :))) (triple smiley) I get to have my mommy come visit me in the afternoon...and so basically --> I could simply not be a happier girl tonight.
